Understanding Mind Body Spirit – The Trinity Explained

The mind is very active, and when it chooses to be separated and conflicting it can only perceive. It does desire to know, and chooses carefully out of uncertainty when it perceives. Even when we think about the process of our mind body spirit, we see it in a physical sense, often relating it to our brain, rather than our connection to the universe.

Mind body spirit is union while in this world, and You as the One whole Mind of God are the Trinity eternally.

God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are each a level in the whole Mind of God, the Trinity explained, and are the only levels capable of Unity.

The part of your mind that will hang onto perception can not separate itself from spirit, and will be joyfully bridged over to knowledge. Spirit is where the power to create abides, and the more it creates, the more mind body spirit perception will cross the bridge to knowledge. Knowledge will increase.

It is the total, undeniable truth that you are. This is not perceived by us; but it is known.

It is important to respect the laws that rule the physical universe as a reflection of Who we are beyond the material world, spirit and soul, if you will. I mean that violation of these laws threatens our mind body spirit survival.

Internally– meaning within our true essence, or spirit and soul, that inner altar where we abide– is the universe that supports our survival as well, both emotionally and psychologically. The internal equivalent to oxygen is love, which comes from our spirit

The universe I talk about here does not entail the stars, moon, and the galaxies we gaze at on a beautiful night.

The universe I speak of here is literally meant to mean “all that is real.” Of course externally, the physical universe we can see does support our physical existence.

All things made by the separation are in conflict, because they are meaningless to each other. Their only function is for themselves. In the Trinity explained, Spirit has no conflicting degrees that are either measured or translated.

Perception needs translation and transcending, but knowledge does not.

It becomes in the service of spirit, where perception is changed. This will produce gradual overriding of perception by knowledge, when truth is tapped into. When truth and knowledge are one you will know this as spirit, or many like to say, spirit and soul, and more clearly understand the Trinity explained.

Often we try to ask our human thinking for the Trinity explained, but as we humans are we get caught up in misperceived notions. Because it brings your mind body spirit into areas of uncertainty, perception in general always involves some misuse of your mind. Otherwise it wouldn’t be perception.

When truth and knowledge are one you will know this as spirit, or many like to say, spirit and soul, and more clearly understand the Trinity explained.

The part of your mind that will hang onto perception can not separate itself from spirit, and will be joyfully bridged over to knowledge. Spirit is where the power to create abides, and the more it creates, the more mind body spirit perception will cross the bridge to knowledge.

Photosynthesis in plants and plankton in the ocean produce oxygen that we need in order to breathe.

The function of perception is to interpret. This permits you to misinterpret your body as who you truly are, in an attempt to escape from the conflict you made.

Perception in general always involves some misuse of your mind because it brings your mind body spirit into areas of uncertainty. Even when we think about the process of our mind body spirit, we see it in a physical sense, often relating it to our brain, rather than our connection to the universe.

They are discovered through spirit and soul. They are not dependent on our body or spirit. Spirit is merely one with these laws, and when understood, the Trinity explained.

The laws of the universe merely describe the way things truly are. The laws were not invented by man.

What these egos might perceive as an attack from knowledge is that knowledge can not lose; but the attacker is really perception in conflict. Your mind will return to its proper function, leaving behind all your subordinate functions the ego– which is all about the body, made, only when it wills to know.

Mind, Body, Spirit, and Emotions As One

Participating in a course “Inspirational Leaders” our assignments including reading and selecting a word-a-day from Spirit at Work Cards: Bringing Spirit and Values to Work by Lance H.K. Secretan. It is interesting how this book and the vocabulary concepts presented within fit right into my 365 Words for 2015 project. While some mornings I hit the floor running with enormous ideas for writing and the letters just spill across the page, on other mornings I seek inspiration. Today that arrived bound in the word congruency.

A congruent character places trust and honesty at the forefront of every situation. The mind is aligned not only with the tasks at hand – work, family, friendship, product development – but with the advantages and disadvantages that the task holds for each stakeholder. I may declare a vacation in Hawaii is the best chance for family reunification but without planning and interactive discussion I may discover twenty people jammed into sardine-sized rooms while rain pours, liquor decants, and arguments discharge. Such drizzle on paradise is not beneficial to anyone. My mind created a terrific scenario but my spirit failed to touch and tap into the lives and feelings of others.

Body entails seizing all that is within and putting it forward. My mind designed a vision of perfection, my body and internal tickings must combine to carry it out. We have decided to remodel a house for out neighbors. She just returned from knee surgery so the steps are a disaster; he suffers dementia and the twists, turns, and torn carpet jumble his steps and his thinking. I must possess a roadmap for our work, plus it is essential to include everyone in the blueprint to achieve success. Our minds combine as our bodies unite to produce. Organization reigns and dedication sees the job from start to finish. Mind and body are congruent in goals and aspirations. We are reaching out to help others, while making certain that ours is the desired help needed.

Along with mind and body is the essence of spirit. Our spirits drive us with determination to help others with little attention to personal gain. I say little attention because when we work for the common good, there is definitely much that the soul earns. The rewards are not monetary, although money can be accepted as it can then be transferred into a new project. As far as personal richness, that blossoms in the depths of the heart, the core of the individual. The spirit when given in totality seems to regenerate energy with each movement and step. The mind may tire, the body grow weary, but the spirit powers on. It is important to examine feelings of exasperation and frustration to determine their root. Often it is not that the product or project is not good or that the mind and the body were misaligned but that the spirit lacked the fortitude to accomplish the greatest ends.

Finally, into the mind/body/spirit mix come emotions. I view emotions as those thoughts and feelings that escape, whether through a slow simmer or busting burst to energize or deflate. Emotions intertwine our passions and reactions, our sentiments and sense of excitement. They are contagious; extremely so. When you laugh, most often others laugh too. When you giggle, they will giggle along with you. When you scream with passionate joy, the resonance fills the air and the spirits of those with whom you work resonate. The same is true when your emotions are a drag. Your anger bites; your fury hurls ferocity into the faces of others. Wrath and vehemence destroy the best of intentions and ruin the congruency of individuals and teams, bodies and souls.

As you approach the next major objective with purpose and aspiration, outline your plan, jot possible roadblocks and detours, evaluate the bonus surprises that may just pop up along the way, and then move into congruency. This congruency includes your personal configuration and orientation as well as that of every person with whom you will come into contact. This does not mean to fall and fail because of a desire to please that only spells disaster as the project can never become more than a dim apparition. It does mean communication, interconnections, and an interwoven effort toward ultimate success.

Energy Healing And Body Talk

These days there are so many healing techniques available to us, like

Quantum Touch
Massotherapy
Touch for Health
Zero Balancing
Healing Touch
Chiropractic
Chakra Balancing
Ki Gong

the list goes on and on. It’s exciting to know that more and more people around the world are accepting the healing value of alternative and complementary modalities.

When we take a class in any one of these invaluable techniques, the focus of course is on learning the technique…

–how to protect ourselves from picking up clients’ “stuff”
–how to channel or run energy through our bodies out to our hands
–how to approach and treat certain kinds of issues
–the body mechanics we use, etc.

What I see missing from the classes is how to assess the body healing type of the individual we are working with. What do I mean by that?

Over the years, doing energy healing from the 1980s to the present time, I started to realize that with each person, I was addressing the energy flow to their bodies in a different way. Yes, there is the technique to follow, but after a while the practice becomes almost second nature. I found that as I was “listening” to the bodies, I was “talking” to them differently. And I haven’t found that kind of body talk mentioned anywhere in the energy healing field.

Of course, I think that each energy healing therapist has a particular way that their inner dialog with the client feels most comfortable or most natural. But what I found was that, when I shifted my own inner preference for how I channeled or ran energy to match my client’s healing type, their recovery occurred in shorter lengths of treatment time.

So here’s what was shown to me in the course of my years in energy healing: There are three basic types of healing preference that each body has: physical, mental, and spiritual. That seems to line up nicely with the complementary approach to body-mind-spirit healing, which is about the triune nature of being human. But what I’m referring to is the dominant energy healing preference each body is wired for. Each person’s body responds most effectively to the type of energy transfer that matches his or her own energy healing type.

So sometimes I found I would be silently talking to the body and explaining what it was going through and encouraging it to heal itself. “Yes, you had a bad fall. You know your knee is injured, and you know how to fix it. You know how to do this.” This silent body talk flowed into their bodies along with the energy. This was obviously for a mental body healing type.

Other times I found myself praying. Sometimes it was a standard prayer, sometimes it was a free-flowing appeal to the person’s guides or angels or Christ Spirit or Mary or an archangel or the Universal Healing Forces. Whatever came to mind to say, this prayer-type energy flowed into the spiritual body healing type.

And of course, there’s the physical body type. This was a bit of a challenge for me, since most of the energy healing I do is in the bio-field around the body and there’s little or no physical contact. But the physical body healing type needs to feel it for it to respond more readily with its own inner healing mechanisms.

So I’d touch the area in need, sometimes deeply, while my inner body talk with that person was more along the lines of a cheerleader, “Here it is. Go. Fix this. You can do it.” Or sometimes there wasn’t that much dialog, just a lot of purposeful contact while I ran energy.

By the 1990s, I figured it would be easier for me to know ahead of time which client was which body healing type before the session started so that I could start the body talk right away. Since I’d been learning how to do dowsing, I asked my pendulum what the type was. You can probably also use finger-muscle testing, if you’re familiar with that. It’s a simple yes-no process of elimination as you ask which healing type your client is.

There were some surprises that I learned along the way, too. People who I thought for sure would be one type turned out to be another, even though their personalities clearly indicated something else. Like my Dad. Here was a guy who was totally immersed in 3-D. If he couldn’t see it, it didn’t exist. A very physical guy. When he got older and started having health problems (and let me work on them, which wasn’t all the time), I dowsed and – lo and behold – his healing body type was a spiritual!!!

Then there’s my Mom, who I thought for sure would be a spiritual type, but the dowsing told me she was a physical! She believed in the old-country ways of laying on of hands, had a strong church connection, which Dad didn’t have, and was even known to have healing hands when she was younger (which was great for us as kids). But her body responded more effectively to the physical body touch-approach.

It reminded me of something I came across in the Edgar Cayce holistic health readings. He talked about the “body mind” as though it was something different or separate from the conscious mind. And now I understood that. The body does have a mind of its own. And when we address that clearly, it responds more readily to whatever healing energy we deliver.

Another surprise was that some people turn out to have dual types. This is more rare, but when you find it, it gives you more variety in how you frame your inner dialog with the body.

Finally, one night in the late 1990s as I was meditating, it was revealed to me that what my guidance had shown me described the way our Master Teacher, Jesus the Christ, healed people. For many of us, Christ’s healings in the New Testament were our first exposure to energy healing, even though we probably thought of it as magical or superhuman, not something we could all do (even though He said we could). Maybe even some of the priests and pastors of our formal churches did the “laying on of hands.” But think about this:

When Jesus healed the blind man, he put mud on the man’s eyes and rubbed it in. Then the man could see. This was an example of the physical body healing type. The man needed to feel something happening to his eyes.

When He told the cripple that his sins were forgiven, or to rise up and walk, He was addressing a mental body healing type. The man simply got up and walked away. There was no contact at all with him.

Finally, when a woman touched the hem of His garment and He asked her why she did that, she replied that that’s what she knew she needed to do to be healed. Definitely spiritual or faith healing.

There also is one other example of a type of healing Jesus did and that was when the Roman soldier asked Him to heal his good servant who was not present at the time. This was a beautiful and dramatic example of both distance healing for the servant and faith healing on the part of the soldier.

During the course of working with many clients over the years, my own guidance has revealed techniques and understandings that were invaluable in helping my people regain function and health sooner and more easily. You can use this information for yourself as well during those times you need to amplify more healing resource into your own body. I hope you find this information applicable in your own interactions with people in need.

Surprising Information In Dreams

The information you find in your dreams doesn’t let you believe that you are a reasonable person. Unfortunately, the fact that you have inherited a huge satanic anti-conscience and your conscience is deficient and underdeveloped means that no matter how reasonable you may believe you are, you ignore what exists into the biggest part of your brain.

You can see only the content of your conscience, but the biggest part of your brain is absurd and evil because it remains in a primitive condition, since it doesn’t want to evolve.

You can see that the dream messages protect your conscience and help you become more intelligent and sensitive because they show you the absurdity existent in your thoughts and in your behavior when you are influenced or controlled by your evil self.

Most dreams contain warnings because you make many mistakes. Your dreams help you see your mistakes and understand how to stop making them, so that you may stop suffering because of their bad consequences.

You cannot be indifferent to the fact that there is a demon in your brain. You must learn how to eliminate the demon and develop your human side. You have to become a brilliant human being and attain sanctity.

This is another surprise for the human race. We not only discovered that we are in fact demons; we also discovered that we must attain sanctity during our lives in order to avoid going to hell.

This information proves that God speaks in dreams, and it confirms what we learned in various religious lessons. As I already told you many times, all religions can save you, and all religions give you the same basic lessons because they were created by God. They were not invented by human beings.

The satanic origin of your conscience is a tragedy, but you can evolve. You can become an admirable human being, even though this is a difficult matter. You need God’s guidance in your dreams and in your religion.

You have to stop following the atheistic and materialistic mindset of the modern civilization. God shows you the meaning of life and the meaning of death in your dreams. He helps you predict what will happen in the future and get prepared for future challenges.

God gives you many lessons. Your dreams contain scientific explanations that help you understand the meaning of your religion.

These lessons obviously have a specific meaning. You can learn the dream language and translate the meaning of your dreams yourself, without depending on a dream translator, and verify that these translations are specific. They are not invented by the dream translator.

This is a simple matter today because I simplified Carl Jung’s complicated and obscure method of dream interpretation. You can learn in a few months what I could completely understand only after 19 years of research and therapies through dream translation.

All your dreams have a specific meaning and are about you. All your dreams are about your mental health and your life. Some dreams are about what happened in the past. Other dreams are about what will happen in the future. You will easily verify that dream predictions come true.

You will see many things predicted in your dreams happening in your life, or you will see that you could avoid facing various bad situations that were predicted in your dreams because you obeyed God’s guidance in the dream messages.

In the future you surely verify that your obedience to God’s guidance protected you from something, even if you couldn’t see the danger that was threatening you when you followed His guidance in your dreams.

The fact that we have a terrible anti-conscience is tragic, but the fact that God is alive and He can eliminate the demon is a blessing. Our human side can win the battle against the monster that lives into the biggest part of our brain when we do what God shows us in our dreams and we respect our religion.

All religions teach you that you must become a better person and purify your spirit. You must follow your religion, your parents’ religion, or another religion you like. Religion cures and protects your human side.

You must prefer to follow your first religion or your parents’ religion and their traditions because this is easier for you and all religions give you the spiritual help you need.

Your dreams give you more information. They cure invincible mental disorders and they help you become a wise and sensitive human being. You understand why you have to respect God’s commandments.

God shows you in your dreams what is happening in your brain and in the cruel world. Your vision stops being limited by the rudimentary knowledge of your barbarous historical time.

A Happy Mind and Body Leads to a Happy Lifestyle

Peace of mind is very essential for a healthy and a happy lifestyle. Constantly overthinking about the tiniest to biggest things, stressing over uncountable things and keeping our minds occupied with a variety of disturbing thoughts has now become a habit which we just can’t get rid of. This surely disturbs our day to day activities as well as the sleeping pattern which further hampers a lot of tasks.

The term Holistic wellness involves three crucial parts, the mind, body and the spirit which plays a vital role in our lives. Together, they run a never ending process which we can see in the form of different stories that is based on our lives.

Our mind is used for creative thinking and thoughts. It helps us in nurturing the relationships and helps to maintain our goals and motives. Our body helps in making decisions which are better for our well-being which includes exercise and nutrition. On the other hand, spirituality is concerned with self-awareness which includes various expressions that we use in our everyday life to express different emotions to different people.

Wellness can never be stagnant and it moves from one direction to the other. Every decision and choice that we make in our lives, becomes a part of our wellness journey. It is all about exploring yourself thoroughly. It is all about knowing your inner self thoroughly without missing out on anything. It is very essential to be completely aware of our ourselves because we often end up exploring other people but fail to understand our own self.

Let us get to know a few tips on how to achieve a better holistic wellness for mind-

1) Make sure to keep consistency in your life. Apart from work and other activities, one should always keep themselves involved in some or the other physical activities. Be it light exercises but make sure you include it in your daily routine.

2) Your eating habits plays a major role in your wellness. Make sure what you eat is healthy and a balance of everything that your body needs. Always remember, one can munch on anything but excess of anything and everything can be too bad for us.

3) Keep your main focus on improving yourself. Keep a check on your mind and body because whatever progress you will make will push you forward to the positive aspects of life.

You should always remember that your body is irreplaceable and you should put extra efforts to maintain it because wellness is all about a healthy lifestyle. In the end we only regret about the choices we didn’t make, so make sure you make the appropriate choice for yourself and choose wellness for mind over anything to lead a happy and a problem free life.

The Ultimate Goal of Holistic Healing Is Wholeness

Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. It is a simple, natural and safe method of healing.

The awareness that an unseen energy flows through all living things and directly affects the quality of a person’s health has been part of the wisdom of many cultures since ancient times. This life energy goes by many names: qi in China, ki in Japan, and prana in India. The ancient Hawaiians called it ti or ki. It has also been called orgone energy and élan vital, and science refers to it as biofield energy. When your life energy is low, it is more difficult to deal with stress; you may not sleep well, and you’re more susceptible to illness. When your life energy is strong, you feel strong, can more easily deal with stress, and are less likely to get sick. Reiki is a technique that increases a person’s supply of life energy.

What to expect at a Reiki Session

You relax, fully clothed, on a massage table while the practitioner holds her hands on or above you. There are a series of hand positions employed, but there is no pressure on the body, making it ideal for treating all ages and conditions. The energy flows wherever it is required and can be described as a warm or tingling sensation. A treatment can last thirty minutes to an hour, based on the needs of the client. Receiving a Reiki treatment is a very relaxing and soothing experience, which will leave you feeling refreshed and balanced.

• Promotes natural self-healing
• Balances the energies in the body
• Adapts to the natural needs of the receiver
• Enhances personal awareness
• Relaxes & reduces stress
• Aids meditation & positive thinking
• Gentle, harmless & effective

Reiki energy allows muscles to relax and increases blood flow to treated areas, which in turn quickens the healing process. Practitioners and clients report help with stress, headaches, insomnia, upset stomach, sprains and other minor conditions. Occasionally, miraculous results are reported. Reiki also promotes psychological healing, including release of anger, fear, worry, sadness and other unhealthy feelings, and replaces them with self-worth, confidence and tranquility.

What Can Be Treated?

Reiki is both powerful and gentle. In its long history of use it has aided in healing virtually every known illness and injury including serious problems like: multiple sclerosis, heart disease, and cancer as well as skin problems, cuts, bruises, broken bones, headache, colds, flu, sore throat, sunburn, fatigue, insomnia, impotence, poor memory, lack of confidence, etc. It is always beneficial and works to improve the effectiveness of all other types of therapy. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance and has many benefits for both client and practitioner, including altered states of consciousness and spiritual experiences. If a client has a health condition, and wants to be treated with Reiki, it is recommended that they do so under the supervision of an enlightened medical doctor or other health care professional. Reiki will improve the results of all medical treatment, acting to reduce negative side effects, shorten healing time, reduce or eliminate pain, reduce stress, and help create optimism.

Why You Must Be Realistic And Humble

Many of our reactions are based on behavior patterns automatically followed by our cognitive mechanism without conscious awareness. Even when we think we make many mistakes because our conscience is deficient and one-sided, and we are ignorant.

On the other hand, our huge anti-conscience keeps invading our conscience with its absurd thoughts, and the world is ruled by those who are controlled by their anti-conscience.

This means that there are many dangers threatening your conscience at the same time.

God produces your dreams to help you understand how to develop your conscience and become more intelligent and sensitive because you need His guidance in the chaotic situation you are. You depend on His superior guidance in order to avoid having a tragic destiny and prevent a serious mental illness.

You are not merely an animal. You must care about your spiritual evolution. You have to stop being a demon and become a saint. This is a difficult process of transformation. It depends on your obedience to God’s guidance in all moments of life.

Your dreams protect your conscience and help you eliminate your satanic anti-conscience through consciousness. This way you can avoid having a tragic destiny and become a mentally healthy human being.

Now that the satanic characteristics of the anti-conscience were discovered you know how to judge the human behavior. You are not naïve.

Now you can understand why you have to attain sanctity in order to become a mentally healthy human being.

Now you can understand why you must stop following the behavior patterns of your satanic anti-conscience by precisely obeying God’s guidance in your dreams.

However, your ignorant and deficient conscience doesn’t like to be obedient. Your conscience believes that it can understand that is best for you.

This is a tragic mistake that you must avoid. Now you know that there is a demon in your brain.

The demon doesn’t let your conscience think without its interventions. You must eliminate the demon in order to get rid of all the problems it generates, and only God knows how to help you achieve this goal.

So, you have to be realistic and humble. Your conscience cannot understand many things and it is exposed to the absurdity of your wild conscience.

You have to be wise and obey God’s guidance because you can understand His wisdom. There is also a tiny human being in your brain.

Your ancestors were proud of their intelligence, but you must be ashamed of your evil nature.

Instead of admiring the achievements of the human race you must concentrate your attention on the horrors of the cruel world. You have to stop being materialistic and vain, and analyze your reality from a different perspective.

Human beings are violent and immoral primates. Our intelligence is rudimentary.

This is a tragedy. We are more than far from perfection.

You must understand your position, but you also have to understand that you can become a really wise human being if you will attain sanctity by obeying God’s guidance in your dreams. Now you know how much you depend on His guidance in order to stop having mental health problems and many other problems in your life.

Your ancestors ignored the depth of the human absurdity. You have the privilege to know that all human beings are mentally ill from birth because everyone inherits an anti-conscience, and everyone’s conscience is underdeveloped.

So, you can protect your conscience and follow the positive destiny that God prepared for you by obeying His guidance in your dreams and by respecting your religion.

Your religion helps you understand the importance of your spiritual reality. Your dreams give you scientific explanations for religious mysteries, besides working like psychotherapy for your conscience.

Christina Sponias continued Carl Jung’s research into the human psyche, discovering the cure for all mental illnesses, and simplifying the scientific method of dream interpretation that teaches you how to exactly translate the meaning of your dreams, so that you can find health, wisdom and happiness.

Find The Best Hotel Deals For Your Next Vacation

The cost of your accommodation is often your single biggest expense when you want to take a vacation or a business trip. A great way to cut your costs is to find a deal on your hotel. Here are some tips to help you reduce your costs when you are planning your next vacation.

Travel During Off Season

When you are deciding your travel dates try not to go for the high season. There are many travellers who have the limitations of travelling during school vacations or holidays but if you can be a little flexible about your dates you can safe a lot of money. Sometimes a small change of dates from a weekend to during the week can make a substantial difference in the costs.

Use Membership Advantage

Many big chains of hotels offer free membership programs just like airlines offer frequent flyer programs which allow you to earn points which can be exchanged for free nights. Hotels also sometime give lower rates to the seniors, military people, students or members of programs like Triple A. So make sure you mention all your affiliations while booking to get the lowest rates possible.

Internet Specials

There are hotels which have special promotions only for online bookings. So search on the internet for deals that are saving you money. If you also want to make flight reservation sometimes a complete package cost less then individual booking.

Hidden Fees

When you are comparing your hotel cost be positive that the prices you are getting include everything. Some hotels charge small things separately make sure whatever you need is included in your price.

More Ways To Save

When travelling with family first confirm if the children are free to stay or eat. If you are travelling with a bunch of people ask for a group discount. If you are coming from the airport inquire if the hotel has a free shuttle service. Ask if there is a free breakfast that the hotel offers. Booking a room with a small kitchen can also help you save money as you don’t have to eat out every time.

Be Flexible

Last but not the least is being flexible. You should not only be flexible with the dates but also with your requirements. Things that you can do without should not be on your list like the facilities hotels have to offer if you can stay without don’t go for them. Booking a small room instead of a suite. Choosing a hotel in a less expensive area are all ways to cut down your costs.

Your Health Is Your Business, Indeed

Do you agree with this statement, or do you believe that your health is your doctor’s business?

You might say, “I’m not an MD-how can I be more knowledgeable about my health than my doctor, who has studied medicine for many years?”

Well, let me tell you something: When it comes to your own body and your own health, you’re more knowledgeable and more powerful than you can imagine.

You even have the potential to make your own diagnosis because you, more than anyone else, know what’s missing in your life. And you may be surprised to learn that whatever it is that’s missing is your prescription for healing.

It’s been well documented that our jobs, relationships, loneliness, stress and worry can be the cause of physical illnesses, including heart problems, back pain and diabetes. These individual health problems combine to adversely affect our overall quality of life and well-being.

But there’s plenty you can do:

• Learn as much as you can about your health problem(s) and your options for dealing with them, and then make smart decisions about which steps to take in order to manage, or even reverse, the problems.

• Do your homework: Learn about the incredible power of the human mind. Take time to examine your thoughts, feelings and beliefs. You may want to also investigate the power of the placebo effect and its “evil twin,” the nocebo effect, at ( http://psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2011/08/21/the-other-side-of-the-placebo-effect/ ).

• Be an active partner with your medical professionals in order to determine the best way to heal your illness. You need to understand your medical problem inside and out if you really want to help yourself.

• Try to stay positive, optimistic and open-minded during the process of healing. A negative attitude may have a negative impact on your recovery, especially if you don’t pay enough intention to your “inner talk” and the message it’s trying to get through to you.

• Learn to trust in yourself as a healer and in your practitioners, who are with you as you travel the path to full recovery.

• Don’t ignore or overlook any potential benefit to your health or healing.

Your health is always your business, and it starts when you are healthy. Paying attention to your health only when you get sick reduces your options for healing and will likely affect your outcomes.

Are you paying enough intention to your diet, weight, exercise, relationships, and stress level?

Do you feel good about yourself? If you don’t, think about what action you need to take in order to change that, and then do it.

Are the social and family aspects of your life enjoyable, or are they causing you stress?

If you want to take a holistic approach to your overall health issue, think about your personal life as a source of your strength; however, keep in mind that it can also be the cause of your health problems.

Whatever you do influences your health in one way or another.

I’m surprised to see how many people go about living their lives without doing enough to protect their health. They know that they’re hurting themselves, but they don’t care!

I have no explanation as to why so many people are so negligent about their lives. Each of us has a responsibility to take care of ourselves. If we don’t, who’s going to do it for us?

Just to clarify something here: I’m not at all blaming sick people for their sickness. I’m just trying to remind everyone about how powerful they are and about all the many options they have for protecting themselves from illness.

Top 6 Real Estate Secrets When Selling Your Home

Top 6 Real Estate Secrets

#1: Open Houses Don’t Work.

Open houses are a thing of the past. Years ago, when you wanted to sell your home, the only way that buyers could see the inside of your home was to be invited to view your home via an open house or making an appointment with the agent listing your home. Now, if a buyer wants to see your home, they can just go online, to any of a dozen sites, and see the inside of your home without ever having to leave their living room.

The truth is open houses don’t work! Real Estate agents host open houses not to sell your home, but to obtain additional clients who are looking to sell their homes (including your neighbors). The fact is, you are more likely to win the lottery than sell your home with an open house in most areas.

#2: Marketing is Job Number 1.

If you are selling your home, the real reason you hire a Realtor is marketing. A Realtor’s job is to get as many qualified buyers to your home as possible so that you can sell your home for the highest price. Marketing is the cornerstone of the Real Estate business and a Realtor that does not know marketing, is not worth the commission. Many Realtors avoid the topic of marketing and try to confuse homeowners with internet terms and the size of their firm, all of which means nothing to the actual sale of your home. Here are the things you should be aware of:

* When you hire someone to sell your home, first make sure they are a Realtor and ask to see their Realtor card. There is a big difference between Realtors and Real Estate agents. Real Estate agents cannot list your home in the MLS, a database of homes for sale by participating Real Estate firms.

* Make sure you select a Realtor that truly understands marketing – proactive marketing. All agents use the internet, so that is no big deal. All listings will likely be on Realtor.com and Zillow. Have your agent do a S.W.O.T analysis for you, find out if they work full-time as a Realtor, and ask them what they do that DOES NOT involve the internet to sell your home. Find out how long they have been Realtors, and ask to see any 3 homes sold in each of the last four years. In a very short time, you will be able to sort through the wheat and chaff.

* Don’t be fooled by the most common secret. An agent will mention they work for a big firm, and therefore, your home will get more views on the internet. This is not true, in almost all cases, any home being listed by a Realtor will be listed on the website of all the Real Estate firms in the area and most national websites as well. So even if you list your home with “Mom and Pop Realty,” your home will show up on even the big companies’ Real estate websites.

#3: Discount Brokers/Limited Service Brokers Can Be a Good Choice.

Regardless of what the industry tells you (including real estate agents) these firms have a place at the dinner table and serve a vital function in the industry. Let’s be honest – all people are a little frugal, and if you could find a cheaper alternative to paying a Realtor, you would. On occasion, discount brokers/limited service brokers can save you money.

Here are two specific cases where we refer our clients to limited services/discount Realtors:

Scenario 1: You have a home under $120,000 (don’t be jealous, Californians and New Yorkers).

Real Estate is a business, and agents are people who rely on that business to pay their own bills. So, if your agent works at a firm that takes a cut of the commission (in many cases 30-50%), the agent must determine if selling your home is a good business decision. Lets look at the numbers:

* Home Price = $120,000

* 3% commission (Listing Side only) = $3600

* Minus Firm Split (35%) = – $1260

* Minus Taxes (25%) = – $900

* Minus marketing = – $800

* Leaves a net commission of $640, to the agent

If the agent only nets $640 on the deal, how much time can you reasonably expect them to spend on your behalf selling your home? In this case, using a limited service broker could save you $2000+ dollars on the listing side after the cost of the limited broker fees and expenses are deducted.

Scenario 2: You are in a super hot market.

If you are in a market that is so hot that all you have to do is put a sign in your front yard, then limited service is a good option. They put your home in the local MLS system and buyers just show up. AWESOME! The key to making this work is to have your home appraised before you call the limited service brokers to make sure you are selling your home for the right price. Once you get a contract from a buyer’s agent, hire another agent or lawyer to help you with the details on an hourly or fixed-rate basis. The key is making sure you only accept contracts from buyer’s agents. If you are not sure what that means, get clarification in your state. (I can’t give you all the secrets!)

#4: All Agents Are NOT Created Equal.

Just like any industry, there is a range of competence within the Real Estate world; However, many people believe that all agents are the same. I suggest that when you are interviewing agents, request that they send you the contracts ahead of time, and prepare a set of questions for them to answer. If you are in North Carolina, here are just a few questions I suggest:

* What is dual agency? And do you practice dual agency?

* What is the difference between due diligence and earnest money? And what happens if a buyer cancels the contract?

* Am I required to do repairs on my house, or is my home sold as-is?

* Show me the marketing plan for my home, not a generic presentation.

#5: Some Agents Will Try to “Buy the Listing.”

This is when an agent convinces a homeowner they can sell their home for a price significantly higher than market value. This tactic is successful when an owner uses money to select the agent. The agent’s intention is to have the owner sign the listing agreement under the auspices of an inflated sales price, and then the agent will steadily lower the price of your home until it actually sells.

#6: For Sale By Owner (FSBO) Homes Don’t Save Money and Time.

The company line for agents is that they will help you buy any home; however, most agents do not like to deal with FSBO properties. First and foremost, Real Estate is a FOR-PROFIT job. Owners selling their own home have made a decision not to pay a Realtor, but your agent does not work for free. Therefore, as a buyer, if you choose to consider FSBOs, you need to have a discussion about who is responsible for paying commissions. In many cases, you as the buyer could be responsible for paying the commissions on the deal in addition to closing costs and down payments
